Fees

Full-fee range: $200 – $325/50 min. session

75 min. and 100 min. sessions are prorated.

Half of my practice is reserved for pro bono and lower-than-full-fee slots. These slots are available for early career and graduate student QTBIPOC psychotherapists, and other healing modality practitioners and community healers who offer low-fee and sliding-scale services, or work in public and community health settings; QTBIPOC artists and organizers; people with income precarity from HIV diagnosis and/or chronic illness; and women and LGBTQIA+ people navigating systems and experiences of asylum and resettlement.

Currently all pro bono and lower-than-full-fee slots are full.

Why a Sliding Scale

Wherever you fall on the income scale, the impact of global capitalisms are complex and may be a part of the experience that we will explore in our clinical work together. I believe in offering pro bono, lower fee, and sliding-scale slots as part of my commitment to intervening in, for many people, the financial inaccessibility of long-term depth psychotherapy.

How My Sliding Scale Works

Those with access to resources are invited to pay at the higher end of the fee scale. I do not ask for proof of income or other financial documentation, acknowledging that economic and structural stability are functions not only of earned income, but also of family/historical access and current family configurations, and that some forms of income may not be easily documented. Instead, I rely on your integrity, accountability, and attention to complexity when placing yourself on the scale. I am happy to have conversations about the fee at any point in our work together.

The graphic below, created by Worts and Cunning Apothecary, is a helpful tool for understanding financial privilege and access, and considering where you fall on my (or any other) sliding scale.

Insurance

Some plans will reimburse for psychotherapy with a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), so you may want to check to see if you have coverage for individual psychotherapy with an MFT of your choice. I am happy to prepare a monthly statement for you to submit to your insurance company. However, some insurance reimbursement processes require sharing private information with several people, thus compromising your confidentiality. Feel free to discuss the pros and cons of using insurance with me if you are considering this choice.
